By train

From the railway station of the main terminal, trains run at 15-minute intervals to Brussels stations Brussels North, Brussels Midi, Brussels Central.
There are also trains running through the airport along the routes:

  • Bruges – Brussels – Brussels Airport – Brussel – Oudenaarde – Kortrijk – Ostend
  • De Panne – Ghent – Aalst – Denderleeuw – Brussels – Brussels Airport – Leuven – Landen
  • Mons – Braine-le-Comte – Halle – Brussels – Brussels Airport
  • Antwerp – Mechelen – Brussels Airport – Leuven – Aarschot – Diest – Hasselt
  • Tournai – Ath – Enghien – Halle – Brussels – Brussels Airport
  • Tickets can be purchased either at the ticket office at the station or at a vending machine (accepts credit cards for payment).
By bus

Alternatively, you can get to Brussels by bus. The station is located one floor below the arrivals hall. De Lijn and MIVB/STIB buses serve the airport.Buses run to the stations:

  • Brussels North (№272, 471)
  • NATO (№272, 471, 620)
  • Roodebeek Metro Station (No.359, 659)
  • A ticket for one trip (up to 60 minutes) can be purchased from the driver or at ticket machines (price – €3).
  • There is also an Airport Line express bus running between the airport and the city (European Quarter).

Timetable: from Monday to Friday until 20:00, the bus runs under No. 12 and serves only the main stops, after 20:00, on weekends and holidays — No. 21, serves all stops.All buses depart from Platform C. Tickets can be purchased at GO Ticket vending machines (accept coins, credit cards and Maestro Cards).
