Some of these signs pointed to “dangerous jellyfish,” “destructive rocks,” or sewage-contaminated seawater. Others reported the closure of the beach or provided false information indicating that the beach should be traveled for hours, although the distance was less than 100 meters.
In Catalan, several lines were written on these fake signs, telling the locals that these warnings were untrue, and that “the beach is open to everyone except foreigners and jellyfish.”
